Contests 2007-08-22T17:31:00-07:00 http://snikiddy.com/index.php/blog/archives/the_national_zoo_and_snikiddy_snacks/ http://snikiddy.com/index.php/blog/archives/the_national_zoo_and_snikiddy_snacks/#When:15:16:00Z This is the first year that Snikiddy Snacks has participated in Boo at the Zoo at Washington DC’s National Zoo.  You may be wondering what participation means… For us, as a local company, and at a zoo that we are actually members of via FONZ, this includes our entire family giving out Snikiddy Snacks to all the visitors for the zoo’s wonderful Halloween event.  Friday was the first night.  In the pouring down rain, Brett took the lead and gave out snacks.  Last night, on a gorgeous Autumn night in DC, it was a family affair.  My mom, dad, sister, two daughters and niece headed down to the event.  The adults took turns between handing out Snikiddy Snacks at the table and taking the children around to enjoy their own turns at trick or treating.  It was fantastic.  By the end of the night over 7,000 visitors had received a Snikiddy Snack sample and our children had had the chance to see the pandas go “night night”.  The zoo has a web-cam on those cuddly panda bears that you can log onto and watch any time day or night.  I think events like these at local venues are a great way to take your children trick or treating without having to put up with quite as much junk food.  The final consensus, we really enjoyed the event for our family and it was great to see other local families enjoying our snacks.  We’ll do it again in 2008!
