Summer
Hi, I’m Summer and I’m 6. I’m the youngest of the snikiddy gang, well except for Buzz the dog! He’s 2. I love to go camping and sleep in a tent, even if it’s in my own backyard. Have you ever been camping? It’s so much fun! You get to listen to the bugs chirping all night, look at the pretty stars, and sometimes my mom and dad build a fire – but we don’t do that in our backyard. I also like playing outside with my friends. We run around and act crazy and play tag or kick the soccer ball. After that, I’m usually really hungry. My favorite things to eat are apples, strawberries, Grilled Cheese Puffs and Chocolate Chippers. Yummy! My mom says that eating a lot of fruits and vegetables is good for me, but she lets me eat Chocolate Chippers too. She says they’re organic and low in sugar. All I know is that I like to eat them. And then go back outside and play hide-and-go-seek.
Max
Hi, I’m Max. I’m 8. Sometimes I play videogames, but usually I like to be outside. Sometimes my dad takes me and my older brothers fishing. They always make me put the worm on the hook. I think they’re scared of worms! Are you scared of worms? I’m not! I also love to draw and color. My favorite things to draw are superheroes and monsters. When I show the monsters to the other Snikiddy Kids, they get scared. Well, some of them do. In the winter, my brothers take me to the park to go sledding or to play football in the snow. Cool! Then we go home and dad builds a fire and we drink hot chocolate to warm our insides and we eat Banana Nibbles. I could eat a whole bag, but my older brother always takes them from me and tells me to share. When Mom packs my lunch for school, I always remind her to put in Cherry Oaties or Chocolate Chippers for my dessert. She laughs and ruffles my hair. Then she reminds me that I’m not allowed to eat them until I eat my sandwich and fruit first. I have to go now because it’s time for my swimming lesson. I swim like a shark! I like sharks! Bye!
Maria
Hello. My name is Maria and I am 10 years old. I like to play in the Snikiddy tree-house and climb trees and sometimes my mom and me do yoga. I love it when we can do yoga outside. I like the Tree Pose the best. I also take ballet and tumbling classes. Chi is in my tumbling class. Once I did 10 somersaults in a row and I was so dizzy. I have the prettiest dress to wear for my ballet class. It’s pink and beautiful and like a princess. When my dad comes home from work at night, we look through his telescope at the stars. My dad knows everything about space! Have you ever seen a shooting star? They’re so cool. I also like to play Hide-and-Go-Seek with my friends, because I am the best hider and the best seeker. We played it the other day and then my mom took me on a picnic. I love my mom! She packed organic grape juice and turkey sandwiches and Grilled Cheese Puffs and Cherry Oaties and organic raspberries. She always makes healthy food for me and dad because she loves us and wants us to live a long time. Oh. I bet you can’t guess what my favorite fruit is. The star fruit!
Chi
Hi, I’m Chi. I’m 7 years old and my baby brother is one years old. He’s small! My mom and I take him for walks in his stroller. The best is when we go on a hike in the woods. Mom teaches me about the different plants and trees and ewwww, bugs. We even saw a deer once! My favorite animal is a tiger. They’re so pretty! We learned in school that tigers are endangered. They might disappear, except in zoos. That makes me sad. I love to eat granola bars, organic grapes, Rockin’ Ranch Puffs and organic peanut butter. I go to the grocery store with my mom and she told me to look for the USDA Organic seal on food. She said that means it is organic and that means it is grown in a healthier way. I like being healthier. Well, I’m going to the treehouse to play with the snikiddy gang. Have a healthy day!
Duke
I’m Duke and I’m 10 and I’m going to be an organic farmer when I grow up, just like my uncle. That means I’m going to grow corn and lettuce and tomatoes and oranges, but I’m not going to use pesticides on them. My uncle says pesticides kill bugs, but they can hurt us too. I helped my uncle and my dad plant an organic garden. This way I can be really good at it later. I love getting dirty in the garden and I love eating the cucumbers and peppers. Some of the peppers are hot! I’m really good at watering the plants. Plus, when Buzz comes over, I am in charge of keeping him out of our garden. I know he wants to eat our yummy vegetables. When I’m not in the garden, I like to play baseball with my friends or ride my mountain bike. Mom takes me to my uncle’s farm too. It’s so cool there. I get to explore! He has woods and a stream and rows of organic corn. And we eat a lot of food when we’re there. My favorite is macaroni and cheese and Pizza Pie Puffs. OK, well, TAG- you’re it!
Buzz
Hi, I’m Buzz the dog. I’m the Snikiddies favorite pet! I like to play fetch with frisbees and swim in the river that the Snikiddies keep clean. Duke’s uncle has a farm. I like to hang out at the farm… and eat organic corn, but don’t tell Duke, I’ll get in trouble!
