Growing up in my parent’s house with fantastic cooks for parents and three other siblings, meant two things. There was always something to eat, and always something to do. My mother remains, to this day, the best talent in the kitchen that I know. Through inventiveness, a touch of ethnicity from her mother, and plain old “just getting it” when it came to cooking, we grew up with delicious meals that incorporated taste with nutrition.
To me a physical life is a good life. I have “played” all my life without the use of a remote control. Over the years I have been lucky enough to enjoy activities that have ranged from rock climbing to simply running in races, while pushing my kids in the jogging stroller. No matter how old I become, I continue to feel younger at heart because I still strive to run around chasing frisbees, kids, or 16 inch softballs, as much as I can. And I believe always “playing” is the largest factor in that sense of youth.
It is the coupling of these two large elements of my background that makes my belief in Snikiddy so strong. Our products and message speak to families in a way that is important to me as a father of two (with one on the way!). Snikiddy embodies the ideals that my wife and I are trying to instill in our kids – respect for knowledge and discovery, adventure, consciousness of the community around you, and understanding choices. It is an honor to promote a brand that speaks the same language that we speak at home every day.
