Having worked in the natural foods industry for a number of years, you really gain an appreciation for the benefits, and importance, of foods that are healthier for you and your family. I see first-hand, the movement across the country in schools and retailers, a push for healthier choices for children and families as consumers realize there are better products to choose from. Most importantly, I believe that a healthy life-style, and making decisions on better-for-you foods, begin at home.

For the past several years, my wife and I have replaced most of the “conventional” food in our house with more organic and natural foods, hoping to create a healthier environment, not just for ourselves, but also our daughter. My wife and I are very fortunate to have a beautiful little girl, Logan, who is now just 14 months old. Since she was able to start on baby food and then solids, they have been primarily organic. We really believe that teaching her, even at such a young age, the benefits of healthier foods, and acquiring a taste for them, will only increase the likelihood that she makes healthier decisions for herself. Living in Colorado also provides us with a wonderful, active lifestyle where we can bike, hike, ski, play golf, walk and enjoy the beautiful outdoors with our two labs, as a family.

I am really very fortunate to be a part of the Snikiddy family for the past several months. This is a dynamic and exciting company, committed to changing the snacking landscape for families. Over the past 12 years or so, I have been a part of the natural foods world, helping to build and manage start-up brands . Working primarily in the beverage industry, recently with another company that helped transform the landscape with a better-for-you product, IZZE Sparkling Juices, it was very exciting to see consumers embrace the product and it’s message. IZZE was very successful by committing itself to providing a healthier drinking option to sodas and seeing its immediate impact with schools and other food service channels. Consumers embraced the simplicity of the product and it’s great taste.

At Snikiddy, we are in the same position to be the market leaders in our categories. Currently, we make two lines of simple, great tasting, fun, better-for-you snacks, that help provide parents, and their families, with healthier choices at home. Retailers in all channels are recognizing the need to offer their customers healthier snacks and looking at Snikiddy as their solution and partner. We are extremely excited with our growth and strategy over the next several months as we expand our product offering and partner with more retailers and food service companies around the country.
